Alscium
The Einheldren Dominion
These are the lands ruled by the iron fist of the Einheldren elves. They are a land of bountiful harvest, beautiful countryside, flowing rivers, and rolling hills. But, beyond their picteresque exterior lies the dark reality of daily life in Alscium. The elves of the Dominion experience a free, simple life, catered to their every need save for in times of war. The Low Races are held down by a boot that shall never lift, unless someone cuts it from the leg it is attached to.
The Alscian Free State
The lands claimed by The Scarlet Vanguard after their astounding victory at the Battle of the Sundering. Their greatest line of defense are the hills north of Doltromme, and the Basalt Fortress to the north-west of the city and the Shadow-Tower in the south. From these staging grounds, The Vanguard hopes to strike at the Einheldren, rallying all to their cause via a system of complex tunnels that surface in the city of Feridone.
The Greenskin Islands
The lands of the orcish and goblin hordes, a vile wasteland of decrepit islands, save for the handful of black forests that dot the landscape, have been home to the green-skinned people for hundreds of years. Brutish and savage in their nature, the orcs strike at the Einheldren along the southern shore.
The Savage North
Home to the followers of the Old Gods, the North is home to the beastmen of Alscium. A strange race not understood by even the most accomplished intellectuals, they strike hard and fast from their ancient cities deep in the Forest of the Damned, sallying forth to pillage, murder, and plunder all that they can find.
The Isle of the Dead
Long abandoned by the living after a tremendous earthquake wracked the land, the Isle of the Dead is an even more inhospitable and barren land than that of the orcs. The Isle of the Dead is connected to the mainland by a thin bridge of land, and separated from it by a thick, two-hundred foot wall known as the Shield of the Living. Nothing grows here, not even the most measly weed. It is said the bodies of those left behind in the devastation now lie dormant, waiting for some dark master to come and raise them from their slumber.
The Great Forbidden Forest
The ancestral home of the Sylheldren, the Great Forbidden Forest is a secretive, if massive, swath of Alscium's landmass, with none save for its sylvan tenders knowing the true size of the woodland. None can venture here save for those of Sylvan ancestry; if one does happen to visit, it is unlikely that they shall leave, as they shall either end up slain by a ranging party of elves, or enraptured by the beauty of the wild landscape, and wander until they perish.
