The Death of King Tyrion Teclis at the hands of the dragon Alsgalon, Second Era, Year 0
Whether a highly stylized telling of the truth or a honest-to-Elis'a true story, Alscium will never know, but the tale itself is worth repeating nevertheless. During the Wars of the Dragons, the great elven king Tyrion Teclis led his army into the mountains, known today as The Dragon Peaks, hunting down and eliminating any of the wyrms that they could find. The war seemed to be going well enough, the dragons were dying, albeit slowly, and it seemed as if the threat of the fire-breathers would be eliminated sooner than any of the Einheldren had expected. However, one final challenge stood in their way. It was a battle between kings, as the Lord of the Elves and the Lord of the Dragons met in combat on the slopes of the mountain now known as Flamescorch Aerie. The beast fought hard, as did Tyrion, but it was not enough on either account; they were evenly matched. The final blow was struck by Tyrion as he leapt on to back of the beast and plunged his mighty blade into his back, driving him into the ground. But, Alsgalon would not die so easily, he wrenched his mighty neck back, snapping his jaws shut and severing the King's arm from his body. By the time his medics reached him, it was too late. Tyrion Teclis, and the mighty Alsgalon, had died.
